runtime.reload()

Reloads the extension.

If there are any pending updates for the extension, that it has deferred by listening to runtime.onUpdateAvailable, then they will be applied on reload.

Syntax

Parameters

None.

Examples

Reload the extension when the user clicks a browser action's icon:

  browser.runtime.reload();
